Katy says "The Sable antelope (Hippotragus niger) always seem near magical to me, rather as though you'd suddenly come across a
unicorn in real life. They are quite shy and elusive creatures often disappearing into thick bush when you try and approach them.
This painting was an attempt to capture that elusive feel with some of the herd disappearing into the background foliage."
