'Lioness and Cub'

This painting was based on a sighting in the Kwara concession in Botswana. We'd been trying to follow this lioness for a few days
as the guide knew she's recently had cubs and would hopefully eventually lead us back to them. After losing her a few times, and
spending some hours watching the lioness asleep on her own, she finally did lead us back to her cubs. We were very privileged to be the
first people to see them. She actually had two cubs but is pictured just with the one
that was being particularly cute and sitting with his mum.
