Wildlife Paintings
Katy paints wildlife scenes, mainly based on her trips to Africa.
She has been able to visit Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana and South Africa. Her favourite sightings include the migration in the Masai Mara and African Wild Dogs in Botswana.
Katy has succesfully exhibited and sold paintings at the Society of Wildlife Artists exhibitions at
the Mall Galleries, London and at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art in Wirral where she won the Daler Rowney Prize in 2010.
Katy generally prefers to paint watercolour scenes showing the African wild animals in their habitat.
Her favourite animal is the very rare and now sadly endangered African Wild Dog, the Lycaon Pictus (literally 'Painted Wolf'). Katy especially enjoys producing paintings that show their complex and fascinating behaviour patterns.
