"This painting was completed after a Society of Equestrian Artists visit to the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery barracks at St John's Wood. What attracted me to the scene was the
light from the rooflights falling on the farrier as he prepared to shoe the two Irish Draught horses waiting patiently in the background."
