Equestrian & Wildlife Artist - Katy Sodeau

Although Katy is best known for her horse racing paintings she also loves watching and painting polo. In 2003 she won the 'PQ International' prize for the best polo exhibit in the Society of Equestrian Artists annual show.

The three surrounding paintings are based on scenes at a polo match at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club at Winkfield near Windsor. The club has lovely grounds complete with magestic mature oak trees which can be seen in the painting of polo players changing horses.

Guards Polo Club is another great location to watch the game, also in the Windsor area, it has Windsor Great Park as a backdrop. The painting on the right is of polo ponies tied up and awaiting their chukka at Guards.
